Making the most of a narrow plot in Haarlem, Holland

This centuries-old house in the centre of Haarlem is located on one of the most beautiful canals and even has a courtyard. Those are the positive points. The challenge was to make the most of a very narrow floor plan and still create an airy atmosphere as well as enough space for a couple to live in comfortably. They met the challenge and solved the problem brilliantly!
